Information Collected from Teachers Relating to Children
In order to provide a link between a teacher and his/her students in TechKnowledge, teachers are required to set up classes. Specifically, teachers are asked to provide a student's first name and middle and last initials. This information will form part of the student's TechKnowledge Member Name, admitting the student into the Web site and linking the student to his/her teacher. Teachers will also review and comment on projects and assessments submitted online by his/her students, as described below.
Student's First Name, Middle Initial, and Last Initial: a child's teacher may enter a first name, middle initial, and last initial when setting up a class; this information becomes part of a student's Member Name and is used when the student logs into TechKnowledge.
Note: The above information is only accessible to the teacher and the student after logging into the network using a secure username and password.
